Hi! My name is Heather. I’m a normal (well, mostly) everyday 30-something year old lady. At the end of May 2015 I found myself suddenly and unexpectedly single. There actually ended up being a number of advantages to this new situation, the biggest of which was that now I could cook and eat anything I wanted. I can explore all the flavors and exotic ingredients I have always wanted to try! I also love to travel and I have a deep desire to see the world. My bank account, on the other hand, has different ideas. So, to try and satisfy my wander lust and excite my taste buds I have decided to take a trip all around the United Nations from the comfort of my home kitchen!
These recipes will be mostly geared toward two servings (one for that night and one for leftovers!) Cooking for 1 doesn’t need to be scary and it is DEFINITELY worth your time. These recipes can also be double or tripled for more servings!
So, grab your passport and sense of adventure! We are going on an edible journey through all of the countries of the world. Global flavors and adventure, here we come!

I have my passport ready and can’t wait to see where you go next!

Hi Heather, I came across your blog. Nice blog. I found myself in a similar situation when I created my blog. I loved to travel the world years ago, but now my bank account says no. Now, I travel in my kitchen through recipes of the world. I just followed your blog. I invite you to stop by and visit/follow my blog at: https://zest4foodblog.wordpress.com . Cheers from Canada, Angelika
